    Great for the price. For my next paddle, however, I'd prefer thicker sponge underlayers and stickier outside layers.

    I've been playing with this racket for over 3 months now, and I just love it! The rubber on it is amazing. It came with Hurricane III (red) and Skyline II (black). I clean the rubber with a damp cloth after almost every session, and the rubber is still amazingly tacky. I can easily pick up a ball with it vertically for a second or two. I got used to the flared handle just fine, though I can't say I prefer either straight or flared. It feels good to me. I'm not a really high level player and I don't have much competition here, plus I don't have much reference beyond the starter pack butterfly paddles (the difference is obviously night and day), so I won't try to comment on how the paddle plays, but it feels perfect for me. I don't play with much spin on my loops but this rubber does help me out. It makes an interesting cracking sound in high gear, I kinda like it. I like the chemical smell ;)

    I would recommend this for any intermediate player. I can't find a fault in it.

    Racket is solidly constructed. Rubber has good grip. I like it a lot other than the handle has a fishy odor. I have another DHS paddle from China and it has the same odor, so it has nothing to do with the vendor.
